What to do right now

Shut off the water

Turn the valve behind the toilet clockwise, or shut off the main if the leak is in a wall or tub line.

Check what kind of water it is

Clean supply-line water is very different from toilet overflow. Water from a toilet bowl or drain backup can contain bacteria and should be handled by professionals.

Look beyond the bathroom

Check the hallway, closets, and the room on the other side of the wall. Water travels under baseboards and flooring.

Take photos

Photograph the source, the water line on walls, and wet flooring for your insurance claim.

Call us

We extract the water, remove wet materials where needed, and dry the subfloor and walls with daily moisture readings.

What not to do

Do not mop toilet overflow water with household towels and then reuse them, and do not leave wet baseboards or vanity bottoms to dry on their own. Swollen particleboard and trapped moisture lead to mold.

We work with your insurance company

We work with every major insurance carrier. Our estimates are written in Xactimate, the same estimating software your adjuster uses, so our scope and pricing line up with your claim instead of fighting it. We document the loss from day one with photos, moisture readings, and drying logs, and we can work directly with your adjuster so you are not stuck in the middle. In most covered losses, your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible.

Frequently asked questions

Is toilet overflow water dangerous?

It can be. Water from a toilet bowl that contains waste, or from a drain backup, is considered contaminated and needs cleaning and antimicrobial treatment, not just drying.

Will my vanity and flooring need to be replaced?

Particleboard vanities and laminate flooring often swell and need replacement. Tile can usually be saved, but the subfloor underneath needs to be checked and dried.

Do you work directly with my insurance?

Yes. We work with all major carriers, write our estimates in Xactimate, and document the loss with photos and moisture readings so your claim keeps moving. In most covered losses you only pay your deductible.
